URGENT APPEAL: Systematic Executions of Young Detainees in Iran

To the Secretariat and Special Rapporteurs,
I am submitting an urgent appeal regarding the acute escalation of executions in Iran following the protests of December 2025.
A systematic wave of executions is targeting arbitrarily detained protesters, most of whom are young citizens (Gen Z born after 2000). Executions are occurring on a daily basis following summary trials without due process, relying on torture-tainted confessions.
We urgently request your office to:
1. Issue an unambiguous joint statement demanding an immediate halt to all executions.
2. Document these violations for future international accountability.
3. Demand unhindered international access to Iranian detention centers.
Silence enables further unlawful killings. Immediate action is essential to save these young lives.
