(2/3)

This principle is one of the fundamental messages of the Islamic Revolution.

The first Unity Week dates back to Esfand 1356 (1978), during the struggle against the oppressive Pahlavi regime, when the great martyred Leader first proposed the idea during his exile in Iranshahr, and it was welcomed by both Shias and Sunnis.

Soon after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, through the initiative of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (may Allah sanctify his soul), Unity Week was officially established.

By the grace of Almighty Allah, unity among the Muslim people has become a successful example within the nation of Iran, and the conspiracies of the enemies have not succeeded in significantly undermining it.

The enemies of Islam are undoubtedly always lying in wait to undermine this great blessing. What gives them hope is the magnification of differences. While doctrinal and sectarian disagreements are among the enemy’s primary objectives, they will not stop there. They also seek to turn racial, cultural, social, economic, political, and geographical differences into causes of division among Muslims in Iran and across every Islamic country, so that the Muslim Ummah becomes fragmented and weakened, allowing them to impose their domination at the appropriate time. The Holy Quran warns against this in the verse: “Do not dispute with one another, lest you lose courage and your strength depart.”

Therefore, anyone, regardless of their position, who acts in a way that creates division among Muslims and fuels conflict within the Muslim community, knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly, is advancing the objectives of Islam’s enemies. And how can anyone today claim ignorance or heedlessness when the tyrants of the world, led by the criminal United States, have removed their deceptive masks, exposed their colonial ambitions and arrogant plans, cast aside their velvet gloves, and shown their bloodstained claws to the entire world?

Now is the time for Muslims to reflect and examine events more carefully. If Muslims had truly been one united hand, firmly clenched together, would the people of Palestine have been left so defenseless in the face of oppression and crimes committed by the occupiers? And if the nations and governments along the Persian Gulf had united under the banner of Islam, would corrupt and illegitimate forces from thousands of kilometers away have dared to covet their lands and wealth?
