I’m noticing a lot of Trump supporters taking this out of context. They’re seeing the word “imported” and assuming he’s hurting American farmers, but he’s actually trying to help them. Under the Biden administration, the U.S. cattle herd dwindled to its smallest size in modern history, which drove beef prices way up. For the next 90 days, he’s allowing a limited amount of imported ground beef to come in at 25% below current prices. This gives ranchers time to rebuild their herds while easing the squeeze on working families. Temporary relief, long-term fix.
And I’m willing to bet the Biden admin let the herd shrink this badly on purpose to stick it to Trump and leave him with sky-high prices the second he walked back into the White House.
