They are finally trying to make bitcoin productive, as if holding the only honest money left wasn't enough. Now it is stacks, babylon, lombard, all promising yield without the exchange rug pulls. It is the same old siren song, just dressed in decentralized clothing. You keep your keys but now you risk getting drained by a smart contract bug that some twenty year old wrote at 3am while eating cold noodles. My shoes are leaking. And the smart contract auditors are probably just as crooked as the legacy bankers. It is a new playground for the same old greed, betting that code won't implode when the liquidity dries up. @defidegenden
