cult-following pow coins don't need revenue or much going for them because they are valued based on the % probability they can compete with BTC - this puts the valuation potential at 1T+. Even a 0.1% chance of competing with BTC sends a token 100m+.
they're also the most asymmetric because generally the founders are 100% product focused and do zero marketing - so the early holders are just the extended networks of the high level devs which makes a strong initial holder base.
eventually these tokens reach a point where those with marketing prowess get on board and what was once knowledge known by a tight cohort is now getting priced in by the broader market
