The other extremely common "side effect" with progesterone is the reactivation of estrogen when passing through an inflamed tissue that Ray wrote about in his tissue bound estrogen newsletter. I could see how this seesaw of stimulation could be interpreted as withdrawal when getting off, but that typically happens in someone who is seriously hypothyroid that needs to be careful with absolutely everything, and is why Ray recommended small doses to start with so the effect isn't exaggerated.
