1️⃣ despite vs although
❌ Despite he was tired, he worked.
✅ Although he was tired, he worked.
(despite + اسم / although + جملة كاملة)
2️⃣ since vs for
❌ I have lived here since three years.
✅ I have lived here for three years.
(since + وقت محدد / for + مدة)
3️⃣ used to vs be used to
❌ I am used to wake up early.
✅ I am used to waking up early.
(used to + verb / be used to + verb+ing)
4️⃣ say vs tell
❌ He told that he was tired.
✅ He said that he was tired.
(tell + شخص دايما / say + كلام مباشر)
5️⃣ rise vs raise
❌ She raised up from her chair.
✅ She rose from her chair.
(rise = يرتفع بنفسه / raise = يرفع غيره)
