🇺🇸 U.S. NATIONAL DEBT HAS OFFICIALLY SURPASSED $40 TRILLION.Economists say the debt may never be fully paid down to zero. The only U.S. president who managed to completely eliminate the national debt was Andrew Jackson, in 1835.
He achieved this through three main measures: keeping federal spending low, generating significant revenue from high import tariffs, and actively selling government-owned land in the western United States.
