Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Officer to support the company’s tax compliance, reporting, and statutory obligations while ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other tax returns.
Maintain accurate tax records and supporting documentation.
Assist with tax audits, assessments, and correspondence with tax authorities.
Monitor tax payments and ensure timely remittances.
Review transactions for tax compliance and identify potential tax issues.
Support tax computations, reconciliations, and reporting.
Stay updated on changes in Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
Assist with other finance and tax-related activities as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2–3 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory taxes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
ICAN, ACCA, or CITN qualification/progress is an added advantage.
