🔷 Ethereum's top sandwich bot got sandwiched for $7.5M
The most prolific MEV sandwich bot on Ethereum had accumulated over 117,000 ETH (~$295M) preying on traders since March 2023 — until June, when an anonymous attacker flipped the script. Using 66 contracts, the attacker turned the bot's own playbook against it, walking away with $7.5M.
Poetic, really. Two years of front-running other people's trades, and it took exactly one clever adversary to demonstrate that no predator sits permanently at the top of the food chain.
