The SEC is preparing new rules for the storage of crypto-assets by investment companies

The SEC plans to update the current requirements taking into account modern practices of storage and trading of cryptoassets. Some of the existing requirements may be waived.

The document is still under review at the White House, and the SEC will publish it for public discussion. The public comment period is expected to last about 60 days.
