🇫🇷 France Proposes Creation of a National Bitcoin Reserve
The UDR party, led by Éric Ciotti, has introduced a bill in the French Parliament to establish a state reserve of 420,000 BTC — roughly 2% of Bitcoin’s total supply.Under the plan, France would accumulate BTC over 7–8 years using surplus nuclear and hydro energy, confiscated assets, daily purchases, and even tax receipts in bitcoin.The proposal also includes support for euro-backed stablecoins and tax incentives for miners and crypto firms.Chances of approval remain slim — the party holds only 16 seats in parliament.
