Vladimir Putin announced the extraction of the first oil from the Vostok Oil project. The project aims to deliver approximately 30 million tons of oil in the second half of the year, with the potential to reach 100 million tons annually under favorable market conditions, said Igor Sechin. Oil will be supplied to both Western markets and Asia-Pacific countries, according to Alexander Novak. The resource base at Vostok Oil is estimated at 7 billion tons of low-sulfur oil, making it one of the largest deposits globally, Putin noted.
