Ursula von der Leyen, speaking at the La Rencontre des Entrepreneurs de France conference in Paris, indicated that citizens' savings should be leveraged for the EU economy. She highlighted that €10 trillion in household savings currently reside in bank accounts, much of which is invested outside Europe. "Europe now needs to make these savings work for its companies," von der Leyen said.
