Is the prediction markets hype already over?
Have you noticed how prediction markets have almost disappeared from the crypto narrative lately? Not long ago, the sector was gaining momentum fast.
Google Trends shows the same picture: interest in prediction markets has dropped sharply.
There are a few obvious reasons. The World Cup is over, attention around the US-Iran conflict has cooled down, and seasonal activity has slowed as major sports also entered a quieter period.
So the sector may not be dead — it may simply be waiting for the next big event to bring attention and liquidity back.
