Back in 2010, Satoshi explained that if Bitcoin's existing cryptographic protection ever became vulnerable, the network could be migrated to a new algorithm in advance.
In other words, he didn't build a ready-made "quantum shield," but he did design Bitcoin with the ability to upgrade its cryptography long before today's concerns about quantum computing emerged.
