StarkWare says it created the first quantum-resistant Bitcoin transaction using a special signature that does not expose public key data while waiting for confirmation. The transaction could not go through the regular mempool because of its non-standard format, so it was sent directly to MARA, while full quantum protection for Bitcoin would still require a protocol upgrade.
