Yesterday, I roughly outlined the boundaries of a descending channel, and now we can see price moving steadily within it. On the upside, price has run into the $79–79.5K area. On the downside, the nearest level we're watching is $77K. I think this is where we'll head in the near term.
The liquidation heatmap is also worth watching. It's far from the most accurate tool, but we can see that there is still plenty of liquidity above. That suggests traders are still firmly betting on shorts.
I wouldn't rule out a scenario where the market takes out one side first, only to go after the liquidity on the other side afterward.
