Update
Since last Thursday I was not able to log into my account any more, because of an app malfunction that logged me out everywhere.
The issue was that each time I tried to log in, the code was being sent to a supposedly logged in account or I encountered a SMS fee, which I was unable to pay due to an unknown failure.
I also had contacted support on Friday, but got no response.
@Brandfuchs was kind enough to share a message of mine in my discussion group. Unfortunately I had not made anyone else Admin, so he only was able to post it there.
With this post, I want to warn y’all that this could happen to you, too, and you will also most likely get no response from support.
I’d advise to take all security measures possible and to not save important things on here.
I will also consider where else on the internet to establish myself, so that I rely less on Telegram for my income. The convenience of this platform tempts us to ignore that it neither is very secure, not well administrated. If I wouldn't have, practically by chance, discovered a procedure that gave me access to the very account my phone number is bound to, I would have lost contact to all of you, with no way of reaching out, really.
I urge you to consider this as well and maybe move towards free alternatives such as Mastodon [My Mastodon]. Here, we are essentially subjects to a technocracy which cares not for any individual user.
