It is a fact that those AI tools are automating much of the manual coding work that once required years of hands-on experience like mastering syntax, debugging, and writing boilerplate code. This gives devs more time to focus on deeper understanding, problem-solving, and designing
E.g: a simple HTML/CSS dashboard that once could be a paid freelancing job can now be generated by AI in minutes. and they aren't not a job anymore.
So now my question is: Why aren't university lecturers, who already have a deep understanding of computer science and how computers actually work, quickly learning these AI tools, building useful products with AI agents, and creating new sources of income?
If AI reduces the value of manual coding, shouldn't people with strong fundamentals be among those best positioned to take advantage of this shift?
