Iranian MP and Head of the Special Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohsen Zanganeh, in a speech in Herat, Afghanistan, has questioned Pakistan's mediation role between Iran and the United States.According to him, Pakistan has not been sincere in mediating to reduce tensions and war between Iran and the United States.
Zanganeh, in part of his remarks, calls Afghanistan a true friend and brother of Iran.

Consequently, Qatar appears to be the main negotiator now, evidenced by several Iranian flights landing in Doha over the past week.
