📢 🇬🇧 🚷 Rupert Lowe on X: "If working class patriots protesting against the invasion of our country have to wear face masks to protect their jobs, livelihoods and families? Then that is what must happen, and I support them in that.

They do not have expensive lawyers, they cannot afford to lose everything.

It's very easy for politicians to sit in expensive offices surrounded by wealth to label them 'disgusting', but these men are operating in an entirely different world to us. I understand that. I'm not pretending otherwise.

I don’t like face coverings, and I’m sure the vast majority of those protesting hate them too.

But we are not living in a perfect world.

Obviously.

Britain is a police state. If their identities are plastered all over social media, they will be hounded and harassed. By either the state or other malicious forces.

I am a politician, an MP, a party leader.

I expect it.

Those men and women fighting for a better Britain shouldn't have to cover their faces, but sadly that is a necessary evil in an increasingly uncertain and dangerous country."
