If the AfD end up at 43% today as the polls suggest, then they would be outperforming even the Nazi Party in the state of Anhalt at the peak of their electoral success in 1932.📝 v. Stormberg: Anhalt was a very small part of current-day Saxony-Anhalt. A better comparison is adding the Weimar electoral districts of Magdeburg and Merseburg together, which gives 43,2% for the NSDAP in July 1932. Meaning AfD probably still outpreformed them today.
