Situation on the Lyman direction, Donetsk Oblast: Over the last few weeks, both Russian and Ukrainian forces have continued their assault operations in and around the city of (Krasny) Lyman, each making advances in different areas.
In the southeast, Ukrainian forces cleared out earlier Russian infiltrations in the forests along the northern bank of the Seversky-Donets River and north of Stary Karavan, while Russian forces cleared out Ukrainian positions near the lakes and gained a foothold in the northern part of Dibrova. Deep Russian infiltrations through the large grey-zone towards Brusovka, Ozyornoe, and Stary Karavan continue.
To the northwest, Russian forces gained a foothold in the southeastern part of Lyman and infiltrated further northwest through the private sector, while other assault groups marginally advanced in the Maslyakovka District. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces cleared part of northern Lyman from earlier Russian infiltrations.
