I'm autistic but currently subclinical. Nowadays I don't meet the diagnostic criteria anymore. I used to. That doesn't mean that autism disappeared from my brain. If I have plans to meet someone at a show/concert/events that stress me out, I get very confused if they ask me what bus I take. We agreed on meeting there, why catch each other before if we are reaching the same destination? I'm already exhausted by the idea of a concert/show, why to add interaction to that, especially if we don't know well and speaking to each other take energy? I also still have strong opposition tendencies. I can't bear my birthday, Christmas and similar things, as I hate to be expected to be happy. I did not made up this celebration, none of my business. Same with games against others and competitive sports. The rules decide we are against each other and if I do certain stuff I get points, and? I can't buy shit with points, why should I try to win? I do love movement when it makes me feel healthier or it looks pretty, as in dance, but why do ugly movements to score something? The same applies to board games. My colleagues speak constantly of how for autists it is important to have the feeling of control and oh yeah. It may just not always look as being systematic and full of rules. Sometimes it looks like chaos and opposition. 3·Oct 2 It's been a year since Mrs. M and I married. I work today until early evening, my wife until 22. We are not doing anything special, we'll chill together on the sofa after work, maybe watch a documentary, yet I am so looking forward to that. When I'm with my wife, I always feel grounded, in the here and now, part of something bigger than my loud thoughts and memories. 4·Oct 2

Photo 4·Oct 1 Then there are kids with sensory perceptions that are incredibly atypical and torturing, and that for reasons we don't know struggle to acknowledge the presence of other human beings, unaware of danger, hunger, thirst and their own discomfort until reaches level that lead them to uncontrolled bursts of rage. They want to climb high, eat non-edible things and have self-injuring behaviours. We can try to improve their quality of life, but their level of needed support won't change. 5·Oct 1 When I read online that the level of support in autism may change through life, I always need to emphasize the "may". I see non verbal kids with diapers that learn fast self-regulation strategies, are aware of dangers, and find ways to communicate their needs. They may have a slower start, but reach high goals of independence and self-determination. 5·Oct 1
