☀️ VERSE OF THE DAY — A SPECIAL LABOR DAY
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your LABOR is not in VAIN in the Lord.” — 1 Corinthians 15:58
On this Labor Day, a quick word study. The word for “LABOR” here is kopos — not ordinary work, but labor to the point of weariness, exhausting effort. 😥
And “VAIN” is kenos — empty, wasted, WITHOUT ANY RESULT.
Paul isn’t just promising your ordinary work matters to God. He’s promising something bigger: even your MOST exhausting, MOST sacrificial labor — the kind that leaves you TIRED TO THE BONE 🦴— is never empty in His hands.
NOTHING poured out for the Lord is EVER WASTED.
Whatever you’re laboring through today, whatever feels heavy — it’s NOT IN VAIN. NOT EMPTY HANDED. Keep going. 🙏
