On Monday, in Tel Aviv, Greece and Israel WILL FORMALLY sign agreements for the “Achilles Shield” — a massive, multi-layered AIR DEFENSE NETWORK built on Israeli 🇮🇱 technology: David’s Sling, Barak MX, and SPYDER systems, defending against ballistic missiles, 🚀 aircraft, and drones.
The value is genuinely enormous — €3-3.5 BILLION. This is Israel’s 🇮🇱 LARGEST single defense EXPORT agreement to EUROPE, EVER.
Every serious report on this deal says the same thing plainly: this is about TURKEY. 🇹🇷 Greece 🇬🇷 spends 3.5% of its GDP on defense — one of NATO’s highest rates — specifically because of its long-running RIVALRY with Ankara.
Here’s what makes the timing so striking. This is happening the same week the EU 🇪🇺 is threatening to sanction Israel 🇮🇱 over E1, label all its products, and freeze diplomatic ties.
