🇰🇭 US$1.244 billion to help Cambodia navigate multiple crises
BritCham Cambodia was honoured to attend this morning’s launch of the Comprehensive Intervention Program (CIP) to Respond to Multi-Crisis Situations.
Supported by the Royal Government of Cambodia, ADB and the World Bank, the US$1.244 billion programme aims to both protect Cambodia from today’s economic and energy shocks and build greater resilience for the future.
The programme focuses on three key areas:
🔹 Protecting households and livelihoods
🔹 Cushioning the impact of higher energy prices
🔹 Investing in skills and pathways to employment
The skills and employment agenda is particularly relevant to the business community and will be a key focus of BritCham’s Education Summit on 15 September, featuring Dr Faya Hayati, Senior Economist for Cambodia at the World Bank.
