The mobile money transfer system that Africans and the world are enjoying today was invented in Kenya 🇰🇪 in 2007.
In 2007, Safaricom and Vodafone telecommunication companies in Kenya jointly created the first ever mobile money transfer service in Africa and the world known as M-Pesa.
The whole idea was to assist Kenyans who couldn't afford an account in a traditional bank to transfer and receive money. Little did they know they were creating a new banking and money transfer system not just for Kenya alone but for the entire Africa and the rest of the world.
Today, mobile money systems are available in more than 100 countries in the world, mostly in Africa 🌍 and Asia 🌏. The system is currently expanding in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Can Africans solve world problems? Yes we can.
Thank you Kenya 🇰🇪 . We are grateful ✍️🏽●
