If it was a joke…
If life’s a joke, then I missed the punchline,
Laughed a bit late, now I’m out of time.
The train left early, I waved from the street,
Holding my coffee, still tying my feet.
I said, “No worries, I’m totally cool,”
While tripping again over destiny’s rule.
Some stories end before they begin,
Guess that’s how comedy sneaks in the pain with a grin.
So here I stand with a smile on my face,
Clapping for scenes where I lost my place.
If this was a joke, then bravo, well played—
I laughed… but inside, I quietly stayed.
