NEW: 🟠 Sparrow v2.5.4 has been released, delivering several extensive security reviews, including:
- Verifies that fetched transactions actually match the requested txid
- Verifies Merkle inclusion proofs for newly confirmed transactions and leaves them unconfirmed if they cannot be proven
- Maintains a verified block-header store anchored to pinned network checkpoints
- Verifies proof of work on chain tips and warns when a tip becomes stale
- Requires anti-klepto protection when using BitBox02 and raises the minimum supported firmware to 9.4.0
- Hardens Ledger, Keycard, Trezor, Payjoin, PSBT and multisig handling
- Redacts Bitcoin Core credentials and other secrets from debug logs
- Restricts existing wallet and backup directories to owner-only permissions
- Closes remaining local DNS resolution leaks when using Tor
- Adds stronger validation across wallet imports, signing, downloads and server responses
