OpenAI has introduced GPT-6 Astra, a new frontier model built for computer use, coding, science, and complex professional work. The biggest upgrade is autonomy: Astra can navigate websites, fill out forms, work with software, research information, build websites, run QA tests, and handle long multi-step tasks significantly faster than GPT-5.6 Sol.
OpenAI also reports major gains in coding, mathematics, and cybersecurity, while introducing stronger safeguards to keep the model within its authorized scope. Astra is rolling out to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, as well as the API, Azure, and AWS Bedrock.
