Allah says in surah al-Israa [17]:
[وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا]
Through the Qur'an, We send down what is a cure and a rahmah for the believers, but it only increases the wrongdoers in loss. [82]
Qatadah said: Whenever someone sits with this Qur'an, he stands up with either an increase or a decrease. Allah - the One who decrees - has decreed that it be a cure and a rahmah for the believers and that it only increases the wrongdoers in loss.
