Last chance to lock in your SRS withdrawal age! From 1 July… — Life’s Big Questions - Brian's Edition — TG.ME

🚨 Last chance to lock in your SRS withdrawal age! From 1 July, Singapore's statutory retirement age will increase from 63 to 64. 🚨 💡 If you're opening an SRS account for the first time from 1 July onwards, your penalty-free SRS withdrawal age will generally be tied to the new statutory retirement age of 64 instead of 63. For existing SRS account holders, your withdrawal age is based on the statutory retirement age when you made your first SRS contribution, so later changes do not affect you. Besides enjoying tax savings today, opening your SRS account early can also give you an extra year of flexibility when planning for retirement. If you've been thinking about starting your SRS account but have been putting it off, now is a good time to review whether it fits your retirement and tax planning. 📩 If you're unsure whether SRS is suitable for you, feel free to drop me a message. Happy to walk you through the pros, cons, and how much you could potentially save in taxes.
