When a nation endures a long struggle against occupation, one truth must be understood: liberation is rarely achieved quickly.
An occupier built upon power, expansion, and control is unlikely to surrender its ambitions simply because its opponents wish it to!
This does not make suffering insignificant at all. Every sacrifice, every destroyed home, and every displaced family carries a human cost that must never be reduced to numbers.
Yet painful losses do not automatically mean that a cause has been defeated.
History repeatedly shows that struggles against colonial domination can be long, uncertain, and costly.
Here lies the fruitful power of patience!
Patience is not surrender, nor is it an acceptance of suffering as inevitable!!
It is the refusal to allow fear and exhaustion to dictate the future.
Patience means preserving the ability to think, reassess, correct mistakes, protect civilians, and remain committed to justice without allowing temporary setbacks to become permanent despair.
The Qur’an promises us:
“Indeed, Allah is with the patient.”
Qur’an 8:46
Patience does not guarantee an easy road. It gives people the strength to continue walking it with wisdom, dignity, and eventually freedom.
