NEW: Croatia’s government is set to approve the purchase of 18 South Korean K239 Chunmoo multiple rocket launchers and associated missiles for €435.2 million before VAT, Jutarnji list reports.
The package is expected to include missiles with ranges from around 30 km to more than 300 km, giving the Croatian Armed Forces a new long-range strategic strike capability.
Around 85% of the system is reportedly due for delivery in 2028.
The deal, Croatia’s most significant weapons acquisition since the Rafale fighter purchase, is expected to be signed with Hanwha Aerospace, with Poland’s WB Group providing the C2 command-and-control system.
