TRUMP SECURES “MEGA DEAL” FOR 65 BILLION BARRELS OF VENEZUELAN OIL
Trump announced that the U.S. has reached an agreement to gain majority control over more than 65 billion barrels of oil from Venezuela’s proven reserves.
Key points of the deal:
Development of 17 strategic oil fields.The U.S. would hold roughly 55% of the economic interest in production.Nearly $100 billion in private capital could flow into Venezuela’s oil industry.Part of the oil is expected to support the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) and domestic demand.
