❗️Norway has impounded the Russian research vessel Professor Molchanov near Svalbard as a security measure linked to the enforcement of an arbitration ruling concerning Naftogaz’s assets in Crimea, according to the Governor of Svalbard.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Russia “will not abandon its citizens” in the event of a Norwegian seizure of the vessel.
