❗️11 EU countries are calling for an end to national vetoes on foreign policy, arguing that the bloc’s unanimity rule has repeatedly hindered decisive action.
They want to explore qualified-majority voting, encourage constructive abstentions and prevent member states from using vetoes to block unrelated issues, following repeated disputes such as Hungary’s opposition to a €90 billion EU loan for Ukraine.
