Significant Development in Syria:
The President of Syria has appointed Mazloum Abdi as an advisor to the Syrian Presidency.
Abdi, who until just two days ago headed the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), announced on Tuesday the dissolution of the organization as an independent military force and the completion of its integration into the institutions of the Syrian state.
In a matter of days, Abdi has transitioned from being the commander of one of the most important military forces in Syria to an official position within the heart of the Presidency in Damascus.
