🇺🇦 On 22 August, the fourth edition of VOLIA | ВОЛЯ brings together music, performance, visual art, dialogue, and food&drinks to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day.
In collaboration with Monday Kitchen, IMLA, Bez.lich, Sestry Feldman and many other artists, we invite the community to meet and reflect on the times we are living through.
IMLA (@imla.improlab), an improvisation laboratory, builds a performance around a solo cello and graphic score, approaching spontaneous musical creation as a process of listening, negotiation, and collective composition.
Sestry Feldman (@sestry_feldman) present Technosapiens, an exhibition examining the relationships between biological evolution, technological extension, and planetary transformation. At 20:00, their animated project YO! YO! considers possible futures of coexistence between humans and AI, followed by a conversation with the artists.
Monday Kitchen (@monday_kitchen_ua) brings its practice of collective cooking, gathering, and supporting the Ukrainian community in Berlin.
Bez.lich (@bez.lich) presents a one-hour multidisciplinary programme of music and performance created by artists from its community.
The Gallery Lab (@artspaceinexile) hosts the opening of HI5 #6, presenting works by young artists from Ukraine and the Philippines.
🎟 This year, VOLIA focuses on creating a meeting place for Berlin’s Ukrainian community and those who stand with Ukraine. To keep the festival accessible, entry is offered on a sliding scale starting at €5.
