Although born in Albania, St Teresa of Calcutta was known for her work among the poorest of the poor in India. She founded the Congregation of the Missionaries of Charity. Her work spanned over four decades during which she tirelessly served the destitute, including orphans, the aged, alcoholics and even abandoned children.
