The Deathless Fire, one of the comics I worked on recently got published! It’s part of the zine Torches: The Fires That Fuel Change, a collection about the fires that keep us going. 🔥
In Zoroastrianism, fire is seen as a living being that needs to be fed. This comic is about the sacred Behram Fire in Yazd's fire temple, one of the eternal flames that has been kept alive since the Sasanian era. For me, it's a symbol of perseverance and the will to keep going no matter how dark it gets. I haven’t had the chance to visit it yet, but I really hope I can one day.
The incredible colors are by no one other than Aramyon! Working on this with her was such a joy. She made the pages come to life and shine (literally!) with her colors. 🌌✨
