Situation on the western flank of Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia Oblast:
As Russian forces continue to expand their zone of control in the area of Pavlivka and Shcherbaky, Russian DRGs were detected northeast of Novoyakovlivka, west of Novopavlivka, and within southwestern Novopavlivka itself. This threatens Ukrainian logistics moving down the road leading from Yurkivka - one the last usable routes to resupply Orikhiv.
Heavy fighting continues on approach to Novopavlivka, where Russian forces are working to capture the forests west of the village and enter the settlement from the south and west, while simultaneously trying to clear out the advanced Ukrainian strongpoints to the southwest. Ukrainian forces are counterattacking from the north towards the highway.
In Orikhiv itself, Russian forces cleared the forests between the city and Mala Tokmachka, allowing them to gain a foothold in southeastern Orikhiv, and begin advancing northwest towards the city centre.
