US Mint's new $1 Trump coins sell out hours after entering circulation
...Designed to commemorate America's 250th anniversary, the coins sold out hours after they were released on Wednesday afternoon. A 25 coin roll, now on backorder, was priced at $61, while the 100 coin bag, priced at $154.50, is currently marked as unavailable on the US Mint's order page. The product limit for the roll was set at 150,000 units, while the bag was capped at 50,000.
The $1 coins feature a portrait of the president on the front, alongside the inscriptions "Liberty," "In God We Trust" and "1776-2026." The reverse side displays the presidential seal and the number "250" to mark the nation's semiquincentennial anniversary. Designed by US Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna, the portrait was inspired by an official White House photograph taken by Daniel Torok...
