presented w abd pain and vomiting. preceded by hx of sore throat .
one of them, yesterday visited another teaching hospital, and treated as simple flu.
they are otherwise, healthy and active.
as part of workup, their RBS was higher than 450 !!!
VBG showed high anion gap metabolic acidosis HAGMA.
Both of them presented as DKA as the first manifestation of DM.
