Cold wallets are often considered safer than exchanges. But self-custody does not eliminate risk—it transfers all responsibility to the user. Lose the seed phrase, make one wrong transaction, or leave no recovery plan, and there is no customer support to call. For me, most of my crypto remains on exchanges because I don’t like seeing my money sit idle. 😂 Perhaps the safest solution is not choosing one side completely, but balancing security, usability, and productivity.
