Protect your fasts! The Tabi’ Yahya Bin Abi Kathir said: The man abstains from the good lawful things (food and drink) and he breaks it with the bad and unlawful things: the flesh of his brother (backbiting). 📚الحلية لأبي نعيم Abu al-Aaliyah said: The one who fasts is in a constant state of worship, as long as he doesn’t engage in backbiting, even if he is sleeping on his bed. 📚الزهد للإمام أحمد صـ٢٤٥ This goes for any other sin, stay away from them as much as you can and do not diminish the rewards of fasting.
