Solana developers have successfully rolled out the first phase of reducing average slot times on mainnet—from 400 ms down to 350 ms—under SIMD-0525.
Three more upgrades are lined up, aiming to bring slot times further down to 300, 250, and eventually 200 ms. These improvements will reduce network latency and strengthen censorship resistance.
