Higher Education Minister Meets Qatar’s Ambassador in Kabul
Minister of Higher Education Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mawlavi Nida Mohammad Nadeem met with Qatar’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Dr. Mardif bin Ali Al-Qashouti, at his office in Kabul.
The minister welcomed the ambassador and thanked Qatar for its policies and positions toward the IEA. He highlighted the strong religious and cultural ties between Afghanistan and Qatar.
The minister also briefed the ambassador on Afghanistan’s higher education system, emphasizing that the Ministry of Higher Education and the Islamic Emirate are committed to modern education and the advancement of science, while respecting Islamic Sharia and Afghan culture.
The Qatari ambassador expressed his happiness over Afghanistan’s development and the strengthening of higher education and education in the country. He also pledged Qatar’s support in sending professors from Qatar and other Islamic countries to Afghanistan, equipping the Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Centre at Kabul University of Medical Sciences, and supporting other academic fields.
In conclusion, the minister invited the ambassador to visit Afghanistan’s educational institutions and the Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Center. The ambassador warmly welcomed the invitation.
